Dear Chapter Members,
As the leaves begin to change this fall, the Executive Board (the Board) is also making some positive changes to strengthen our chapter. Because of these changes, the Board is calling a Special Meeting where members will vote on these two items:
- Bylaw Amendments: Vote on six proposed bylaw amendments as a complete package.
- Leadership Continuation: Vote on authorizing the current President-Elect, President, and Past President to continue serving in their respective roles for one additional year.

Bylaw Amendments:
Each year, the Board reviews the chapter's bylaws to ensure the chapter is doing its best to serve members. This year, during the review, the Board agreed to make amendments to the bylaws to update and modernize governance procedures.
If you are asking yourself "what's changed?", click here to see a high-level overview of the six (6) proposed amendments:
Voting Terms & Definitions
- Job Description References
- Position Title Changes
- Term Length Updates
- Special Meeting Quorum
- Emergency Procedures
These clarifications will help ensure smoother governance moving forward. These proposed amendments are a complete package (all 6 amendments will be voted on as a package).
Before members vote on the amended bylaws, the chapter is required to give 30 days to review the proposed amendments (it's in the bylaws). The proposed amendment changes are also part of the Special Meeting Notice.
Leadership Continuation:
In addition to voting on the bylaw amendments, members will vote on authorizing the current President-Elect, President, and Past President to continue serving in their respective roles for one additional year.
Only members in good standing will be eligible to vote, and member participation is needed to ensure these updates are approved.
If there are any questions about this process or the proposed amendments, please don't hesitate to reach out to any Board member or email admin@atdcentralpa.org.
Thank you for reviewing and please join us to cast your vote.
Best regards,
Gina Sweeney, President and on behalf of The Executive Board
