Partner Event with the ATD Maryland Chapter

Event Description:

Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) used to be just a group of buzzwords and accountability checkboxes that lived on an acknowledgement form somewhere. But now, as a society, we are shifting focus and prioritizing DE&I efforts to strengthen an organization's success rate. There are large groups of people behind every powerful workforce trend, so why does diversity matter now?

In this presentation, Alixandra (Ali) Moyer will speak on how to use your influence related to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. She will share information on how to get organizations engaged in DE&I topics and how to celebrate a variety of global cultures and awareness issues every year.

Alixandra Moyer is a Marketing and Communications Specialist at Penn State Harrisburg. She currently serves as the past co-chair of the college’s Diversity and Educational Equity Committee (DEEC) and has been appointed to a newly developed advisory committee titled Council on Race, Ethnicity, and Diversity (CORED) at Penn State Harrisburg. Ali received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising from Penn State University in 2012. She also received her Master’s of Education degree in Training and Development from Penn State Harrisburg in 2017.
