Storytelling, Jo Tyler - 12:30pm to 2:30pm

Stories and narratives are the fabric of organizations, and organizations generate stories and narratives. In this session we'll consider the distinctions between stories and narratives and their dynamic interplay in organizational settings. We'll dig into the energetic vitality of stories and we'll explore the relationship and responsibility we have to them as both tellers and listeners, and look at how issues of power and authenticity can shape the effect of stories in your organization. For a sneak peak at a sliver of Jo's thoughts on storytelling and story listening, watch her TEDx PSU talk here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-cSngtvtfHs

Creative Training Techniques, Gerald Post – 2:45pm to 4:45pm

This is more than a "grab bag" of techniques; make training sizzle by learning how to use a powerful 3-Step Process to enhance any learning situation. This dynamic two hour workshop is where you’ll learn how to use teaching techniques that will speed up and enhance measurable learning in your organization! By focusing on preparation, presentation, practice, and performance, this workshop will teach you how to orchestrate the total environment for learning, no matter what your content or audience. We’ll also review how to put together and demonstrate a Return on Investment for your training programs quickly.  Remember, the success of any learning program is measured by what happens afterwards, when you’re back on the job.
