Join us for a fun and rewarding evening at the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank. First, we’ll gather in the facility’s demo kitchen at 5:30 for pizza, drinks and networking. Starting at 6 PM, we will sort grocery products, pack boxes, and maybe bag local produce.

This organization has been training volunteers for years and we are excited to see their process in action. Hope you can join us!

PLEASE NOTE:

When you arrive at the Food Bank, please enter through their evening and weekend volunteer entrance which is located on the right side of the building. It will bring the volunteers directly into the demonstration kitchen which is attached to our warehouse. One of the volunteer supervisors will be there to greet the group and provide task training.

Please note that all volunteers are required to wear closed toe shoes (sneakers preferred) when in the warehouse. Further, volunteers are encouraged to dress in light layers as the temperature in the warehouse fluctuates according to the weather outside. Volunteers are asked to wear shorts or pants that are at least knee length and shirts with sleeves.
