About the speaker: As a facilitator and educator for the past 20 years, Antonio (Tony) Hernandez, Jr. has created and developed practices that hold groups to a standard where every person feels a sense of purpose, engagement and belonging. He continues to use these practices among adult learners and diversity practitioners to have mindful conversations in which they can claim their distinct identities and embrace the value they bring to the community. Antonio has a Master’s of Education and Human Development from George Washington University. He’s a certified Critical Friends Group Facilitator from the National School Reform Faculty, a Responsive Classroom teacher and Points of You ™Trainer. Besides being an educator, community engagement is another area about which Antonio is passionate. He serves as a grant reviewer for the Lancaster County Community Foundation. He’s also a Commissioner for the Millersville University President’s Commission for Cultural Diversity and Inclusion, a Leadership Facilitator for the Latino Empowerment Project and serves as a board member for Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania, the Latin American Cultural Center and for Leadership Lancaster.
