January 2014 Program:  Dr. William Rothwell, co-author of The ASTD Competency Study: Training & Development Redefined

The 2013 publication of The ASTD Competency Study: Training & Development Redefined™ continues ASTD's more than 30-year history of publishing groundbreaking competency models that have both defined and shaped the training and development profession.  Our 2014 kick-off program features William J. Rothwell, co-author of the 2013 competency study.  This will also be our first ever blended virtual program with Dr. Rothwell presenting from Penn State via Adobe Connect to our live meeting site Moderated by Bob Jackson, Ph.D.

You’ll learn, direct from the author:

(1) The transformational changes that have occurred since 2004, the last major competency model revision.

(2) What factors triggered the 2013 revisions.

(3) The concepts that have disrupted conventional notions of the training and development function's role and changed the competencies required for success.

(4) Details about the two sets of actionable paths the 2013 Competency Model provides to move practitioners forward in this profession.

There will also be Q & A session with Dr. Rothwell.
