Professional Development Day and Fundraiser for Dave Burns

Join us on October 16th for our Professional Development Day to learn from two masters and explore the visual side of learning and learn about and even experience Action Learning.  You will not want to miss out on either of these sessions.

This year's event is a fund raiser for Dave Burns, our past Chapter President, with a goal to raise $5,000.00!  All proceeds (after covering the cost of the program) will be donated to Dave's cancer treatment. 

Our AM session will feature Bobbe Baggio Ph.D., an accomplished author, speaker and educator with a strong practice in instructional design for technologies with specific expertise in how people learn.  Bobbe is currently the Director of Graduate Programs in Instructional Technology Management at La Salle University, a guest professor at Taipai University of Technology and the CEO of Advantage Learning Technologies.  Bobbe is the author of four books: Understanding Online Instructional Modeling, Human Performance and Instructional Technology, The Visual Connection and Anonymity and Learning in Digitally Meditated Communications.

Our PM session will feature Michael Marquardt Ph.D., Professor of Human Resource Development and International Affairs at George Washington University.  In addition to being the Chairman of the WIAL Board of Directors, he is WIAL's president and is responsible for overseeing the worldwide development of Action Learning programs and coaching certification.  Mike has introduced Action Learning to hundreds of organizations around the world since 1995 and the author of 22 books including: Team Development via Action Learning, Theory to Practice: Action Learning, Manager as Mentor, and Leading with Questions.

Registration costs are as follows:

  • Central PA ASTD Members (Full day Session) - $195
  • Central PA ASTD Members (1/2 day Session) - $150
  • Non Members (Full day Session) - $225
  • Non-Members (1/2 day Session) - $175
  • Student - (Full day Session) - $100
  • Student - (1/2 day Session) - $100

Special Discount - if 3 or more individuals from the same organization register you will receive a $20 discount on each registration!

If your organization would qualify for the special discount, please e-mail our Administrative Assistant at astdadmin@centralpaastd.org to request an invoice that reflects the discounted rate.  Please do not register for the workshop through this website directly otherwise you will not receive the applicable discount.  The e-mail should include the names of all of the attendees as well as their status (member, non member, or student).
